| We guarantee
our plants will arrive healthy and ready to plant in your garden or you
will receive replacement plants immediately. Read the other company's
fine print:
Plants
become the property of the customer upon delivery to the transportation
company, and we cannot be responsible for loss, damage, or delays in
transit since these are areas over which we have no control. Claims for
loss, damage or delays in transit should be made to the carrier
directly.
What
this means to you is that if your plants arrive damaged or dead, they
can blame it on the carrier and leave it to you to deal with the
paperwork for a claim.
More fine print:
Problems
associated with the health or nomenclature of your plants must be made
within 7 days of the receipt of your order for you to receive refunds
or replacements.
You only have 7 days to let them know that your plants have a problem. After that you are on your own. We guarantee
that your plants will live and thrive in your garden if you follow our
instructions. Sometimes their plants look O.K. when you take them out
of the box but after a week or so can still die from lack of roots or
cold damage.
Yet more fine print:
We
make every effort to send you exactly what you have ordered. However,
if a shortage occurs we will refund the difference to you. Refunds will
be mailed within two weeks after shipment of your order.
You
have the right to receive exactly what you ordered and be notified of
necessary changes to your order before it arrives, not after. You
should never have to wait two weeks for a refund of any kind.
Shipping costs:
If
you have ordered tomatoes from other mail order companies, you may have
received tiny "plugs" or seedlings which are usually no more than 2-3
weeks old. Our plants are 6-8 weeks old and stems are at least pencil
sized to 1/2" in 4 1/2" square containers. They are generally from
8-12" tall and sometimes larger.
We
ship tomatoes in very large pots, yes, this adds to the shipping costs
but we believe that your plant arrives healthier and less stressed out
because of the root system a large pot can accommodate. Order from us
today and you will be glad that you did, we guarantee it!
