These plants are compact, eighteen to twenty inch tall plants with wrinkled leaf foliage that displays a purplish cast, indicative of varieties containing the anthocyanin gene. The fruit are abundant, round, small (about one ounce each), and a glossy deep purple color, some with green shoulders, that becomes nearly black when exposed to the sun. As the fruit ripen, the purple dulls, the green turns red, and they soften. The flavor is generally mild and pleasant but can be on the tart side. Indeterminate Dwarf, 70 days.
